Candidates are required to clear Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) which is of qualifying nature.
Speed : 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes

Computer Proficiency Test is for CSS post. It comprising of three comprising of three modules- Word Processing , Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides, for applicants for CSS. It is of qualifying nature.

Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination is conducted by SSC at 10+2 level for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO) & Postal/Sorting Assistant

The selection procedure for CHSL is :
• Written Exam
• Skill test in for DEO & Typing Test for LDC, Postal Dept.
NOTE: The Commission reserves the right to introduce additional stage of examination (Descriptive) which would be notified at suitable time, if considered necessary.

Candidates are required to clear skill test which is of qualifying nature.

Candidates are required to clear typing test which is of qualifying nature. The typing speed are 35 words per minute for English & 30 words per minute for Hindi Hindi on Computer
